Fantasy Friday: Free My Little Pony Pattern

Good Friday Everyone!

This week for Fantasy Friday I am sharing this free pattern by ‘Knit One Awe Some’ for My Little Ponies. I loved these as a child! As a child of the early 80s I remember my little ponies and the care bears as my most beloved toys. I really want to make one of these for my daughter.

The white unicorn is my favorite with her beautiful purple hair.

Coming in a very close second is the yellow Pegasus. Again I really love the braided threads of hair.

There are several other ponies features on ‘Knit One Awe Some’ click here to check it out!

Have fun making your own ponies and enjoying those childhood memories! Hope you all have a wonderful Easter!

Until Next time

Happy Crocheting

Fantasy Friday: Crochet Quiver

Hello everyone!

This week for fantasy Friday we will be looking at a couple a cute ideas for making toy bow and arrow sets. And of course using your incredible crochet skills to spruce up your designs.

Custom Quiver Free Crochet Pattern

by Melissa Mall

This is so adorable! This pattern is at an easy level and gives your child somewhere to store their arrows. It wraps around the body just like a real quiver. I love how these arrows have erasers for points!

My son had a project at school where he had to make two spears and a bow and arrow set. I used my crochet skills to whip up some crochet points. Have a look.

It’s amazing how many different ways I find to put my crochet skills to good use. Each time my husband gives me ‘the eye’ when I say let me crochet something for that! But then he is usually pleasantly surprised. This makes me a happy mommy!

I hope this post inspires you to do some creative crochet projects with your children. And don’t forget to share your photos! I’d love to see your creations.

Until Next week, Happy Crocheting and have a great weekend!

Korknisse and Toadstool

Our second fantasy crochet project this week is of a toadstool and korknisse (little gnome like creatures). Adorable!

I really love how bright and cherry this is. Makes me want to get out in the garden myself! Summertime can’t come fast enough.

There are so many little details in this mushroom it really comes to life.

And these Korknisses creatures are beyond cute! Crafting with corks is so much fun and its a great way to reuse and recycle.
