Hello everyone!
*note* Great news!! I finally found a new link to the baby bootie pattern on Craftsy http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/crocheting/clothing/basic-baby-booties/32436 enjoy!
I am just dropping in to show you guys what I have been up to this week. I made a creeper hat for my son and a cloche baby hat with matching booties size 3-6 months. I am very happy with how everything came out. I also made my daughter a Bolero but I don’t have the photos downloaded into my computer yet. Sorry! I have been hard at work with my new website which I hope to share with you in the weeks to come. I hope you enjoy these pieces.
Baby Cloche and Booties with Bow
The booties are a free pattern by Mellony Bester. The cloche hat is my own design but I do not have a pattern available yet. The bows are from bobwilson123 you can find a video tutorial here.
Those little bows are too cute and super easy. The best project I have found for scraps so far.
Creeper Beanie
From time to time I make my son a beanie. This time he requested a Creeper Hat. He likes playing a computer game called ‘MineCraft’. If any of you have sons this could be a good option for you.
It’s just a single crochet beanie with a black border and appliques in the shape of the creepers face. I am going to make a couple of more versions of this beanie until I am happy with it. This was the first test and it came out pretty good.
Here he is pretending to be attacked by a creeper, I think lol.
That’s all for this week. As always I would love to see your creations. Share your photos with us. Send them to crochetcricket@yahoo.com. I do feature other crocheter’s work from time to time on my blog and Facebook page.
Thank you for visiting this week! Best wishes from Crochet Cricket.
Happy Hooking!

I love Minecraft! My husband was just telling me yesterday that I need to crochet a mini Creeper for his desk. 😛 Great job on the hat.

Oh no! It seems like the page has been taken down :(. I am disappointed as well. I really liked that pattern and didn’t think to save it anywhere other than keeping the link. Lesson learned I will copy the next pattern I fall in love with. Here is a link to the website it was featured on http://www.rakjpatterns.com but after checking I do not see the pattern available. They might be doing some redesign on the website making the original link http://www.rakjpatterns.com/2013/04/free-crochet-pattern-basic-baby-bootie.html unavailable. I am going to send them a message myself and see if the pattern will be put back up. I will let you know what they say.

Okay, great, thanks. I’ll wait to hear what they say. I need to start doing that myself with patterns!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS HAT! Please let me know if you have pattern written yet. What stitch did you change to from the single crochet in hat?

Actually I just made a simple single crochet beanie with a black border at the bottom then I made black single crochet appliques and sewed them on. No I never had a chance to write up a pattern. Unfortunately I work full time now so I have less time for developing my patterns. If I ever make a written pattern I will be sure to message you. Hope this helps. Thanks!

Actually, I meant the baby hat. It’s so pretty!

oh hehe! It has been a while ago now but I think I did a single crochet crown and ended with a stitch count divisible by 3. And I believe I did shells of 3 double crochet stitches and then and the other rows I did shells of 3 double crochet stitches in the center double stitch of the shell on the previous round. Does that make sense? I hope this helps. I think I still have this set somewhere and I may do a written pattern for next spring If I can find time. Keep a look out for it!
